I like that the LP is mastered at a relatively low volume -- when I put on an old Stranglers LP right after the Godflesh the other day, the Stranglers record was noticeably louder at the same volume on the stereo. A lot of LPs these days are mastered as loud as cds, and end up sounding kind of crappy as a result when you turn them up. The new Godflesh just gets fuller and more powerful with more volume.

I'm super duper late to the party, as I just got the album and am now giving it a proper listen. I heard it once before at work, but it was on small speakers in a noisy environ, so I didn't really get the full NANG of it.
First thing I noticed is that it sounds tremendous. The guitars and bass are massive and the drums and vocals are intermixed really well.
Unfortunately, only a few of the songs really stand out to me. I like Life Giver Life Taker, Imperator, and Forgive Our Fathers is a beast.
On the plus side, there's nothing bad on here, so I have a feeling this album's a grower (not a shower).
