I know we have done a few of these in the past but I thought while we have a slight resurgence in posting, it might be good to see if any new bands might pop up. Anything with a similar sound or maybe just heavy influenced. Here’s a few to start off with.

was mentioned as a GF meets MBV. i'm not sure i hear anything specifically GF--maybe a little--more just like heavy shoegaze. but anyway, this thread made me remember it.

I only gave the Spotlights album a quick listen a while back but loved what heard. A good reminder to now give it the time it deserves and check out whole album.

Fans of Floor may appreciate a German band called Wall (wha?!!? Floor --> Wall)
https://wall.bandcamp.com/album/wall

Back to Godflesh similarities, not sure how wide our scope is but theres was Soulstorm from Canada, early Candiru maybe. I'd even go as far as saying Headbutt from the UK had similarities..

I think Headbutt are way more freeform than Godflesh but Tiddles is a monster of an album....

Very nice video!!

I always thought Crawl and Bleed was the same band with different names...anyways never heard of Depressor nor Dirge before. This is a great day! Thanks!!

Cool to see Landfill and Depressor getting some love! I have multiple demos from both. I'll have to scour and see what else I might have to add.

Was going to post Candiru but someone beat me to it.

Speaking of the old 'monolithic industrial' thread... I can't seem to find it, would be nice to see if there's something I'm missing on my new hard drive. I've posted Hebosagil a couple of times, their newest is one of my favorite albums from this year, some Hymns resonating there

I think it's the same guys,
but since it was another name, I went for counting 2 bands Smile

The thing with Depressor is their later releases are different,
more... "thrashcore"?

I think their discography was rereleased on CD or Lp few years ago.

Just found this track on a small label compilation CDr.
Sounds quite good, the Godflesh alike vocals aren’t bad.

RELICATION

Fans of old Godflesh, Voivod, and maybe old Depressor...
check out this finnish band! Old styled industrial metal without machines, totally analog. Feel the furnace.
