What's my best option for taking some beautiful music and completely isolating/removing the vocals?
Without spending a ton of money or having to spend a year learning how to navigate some super deluxe program.
Thanks |

There isn't really any way to do it completely. You could try doing a centre channel extraction. I've had some okay results with that but the success you'll have very much depends on the material you work with. |

A lot of the vocal isolation tracks you might find in Youtube or places like that are coming from video games like Rock Band etc...
If not, then it's someone who had access to the multi track files |

Mr.James, how could you be so cruel as to use the word "Correct"?
I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to give that record a go on the ol De-Jarboe v2.0 but vocal isolation much like every other damn thing I don't know how to do or utilize that interests me. I don't see me getting into that algorithm thing that replaces the faces of porn actors with that of more sought after celebrity faces.
Interesting but the future is looking so dark
Back on track; J1 would be a great listen. I saw the Swans years ago and she wasn't touring with them and I was quite relieved. I like her voice sometimes but Jebus she more melodramatic than a My Dying Bride album.
Any user friendly software out there you guys recommend?
By user friendly I mean something that would take me less time to figure out than my Alesis SR-18
P.S. Sun Kill Moon is growing on me, particularly 30 Seconds to the Decline of Planet Earth. |

There are a bunch online - I just searched for "online vocal remover"
I tried this one: https://vocalremover.org/
Decent enough. Did a good job with Spun from the last Chelsea Wolfe album |
