#4: yes, he played his first Vitriol show last year in NYC at the Hospital Rec. festival (alongside Final and Jesu...).
I talked to Ben since, and he said that while his first show was purely laptop based (due to some logistic issue), he's going to try to incorporate some (experimental) guitar work into it in the future.
'In my life so far, I have discovered that there are really only two kinds of people: those who are for you, and those who are against you. Learn to recognize them, for they are often and easily mistaken for each other.'
Is this a one-off, or is there a short tour in the works?
Area exclusive. They do not have other North American plans that I'm aware of.
Wait,I have so many questions about this thread....
1)Am I hallucinating(again) or do I see IDNG and Klawful in the same thread in 2019?
2) Has GF ever played Rhode Island? Has anyone?
3)Given that Jarboe is opening, will you guys be requesting they play J2 in its entirety?
4)Has Benny ever done a US show under the Vitriol moniker?
5)Seriously,am I hallucinating?
2. What Klawful said.
4. What JMA said. I almost went to that show. It was also Final's first US appearence AFAIK. And the sets were pretty short from looking at the set times. So this will be their first full sets in the US and Vitriol's second ever.
I missed out on all the opening acts as I had a work schedule that week which required me to drive down both nights from Boston to Prov just before the shows.
Godflesh played a great set that included Merciless and Messiah.
Vitriol was very good--put me more in mind of melodic Final, Final in full harsh mode.
Personally, got to see a few Avalanchers including IDNG, Jimbo, and Scutopus which was really cool and was able to get Justin a beer and chat with him and Ben for a bit and blather about following them for 30 years.
