That write-up on Bandcamp reads like the kind of nonsense you'd get from a major label marketing department. For a start: is someone who has been releasing stuff since 1998 really "a bright new noisemaker"?

Far and away the best JK Flesh track yet imo. Tempted to buy the vinyl for this one track, it's that good.

Yeah, this is sounding great! Will ORDAR!!
& yeah, the "bright new noisemaker" tag they gave Dominick is pretty funny. My project Asscavern released a track with his Hospital Productions label back in the late 90's.. He's been @ it for quite some time..

"Its only fitting that our last release is also late. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the JK Flesh / Prurient split LP has not yet shipped out. Vinyl production nationwide has bottlenecked recently due to high volume and demand. Add in the recently released Beatles vinyl box set and you got the perfect storm that has caused our last few releases to miss street date. We assure you this problem will not befall our upcoming vinyl reissues, as they will be subject to a different release schedule. We appreciate your patience and support, and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Blue Collar sent my package to this address

Same
Same
Scotland
Same
United Kingdom

"So unfortunately, it is likely this package will be returned to us as undeliverable. Once it is, you will be refunded. We will contact you when the package is returned!"

I paid by paypal and just assumed they'd get my address from that. Failing that, you would expect someone might say "We don't have an address for you".

I hope they do get it returned. There's only one thing worse than paying over the odds for a record and that's paying over the odds and not getting it Crying or Very sad

You can't actually register an account with them without putting in your full address so something just doesn't add up here. I'm hoping I don't get caught in a we're closing , who cares scenario.

Much as the passing of hydrahead is sad I have to make these comments:

1. Blue Collar Distro shipping charges are ridiculously expensive and I have not bought MANY hh release for exactly this reason
2. this record appears to be only available on vinyl, fuck that, do you want to be posers or do you want to be in the business of selling records?
3. you cannot buy the record digitally? WTF?!?!

This is why you closed.

THIS!! Although for a long time the actual price pr release was so cheap that the shipping expenses didn't matter anyway. At least for Denmark.

But point 2 + 3: SPOT THE FUCK ON.

"We understand your frustration but we do not have an autofill nor do we fill in customers information unless requested. We do process hundreds of orders everyday, so we have to trust that customers will fill out the information in full. I can assure you that if someone would have seen the information filled out like that, you would have been contacted."

Never seen or heard of anything like this in 20 fuckin years of buying records.

I will have filled it out. I don't think of myself as an intellectual but I like to think I have the ability to fill out an address field. So yes, Hydrahead's mailorder company are a bunch of rip off cunts. Avoid them at all costs unless you have a fetish for paying over the odds and want to experience new avenues of incompetence on a massive scale.
I'm sure it probably works out fine for Justin though.

Can someone explain the "do not have autofill" line? when you click "checkout", it automatically takes you to "enter shipping address"

I didn't like these JK Flesh releases before, too harsh.

But this, this is really nice, love it. Somehow easier to get hang off.

It's available at Juno Download so I assume it's also available digitally elsewhere.

Yeah, posthuman is available at juno download but not this hydrahead release.

You can stream the tracks on hh bandcamp but nit buy them. This makes zero sense to me.

Thankfully it appears I can buy the 2nd Jodis record from their bsndcamp digitally because the pricr of the physical release is ultra bonkers with postage.

everything I order from the States gets pulled by customs these days. Maybe not up in Wales. I don't have the problem ordering from UK or Germany.

One can technically get around the problem by using a public VPN gateway to a server in the US.
Try Witopia or some other free VPN service with Gateways in the US.

That's ridiculous, seriously dumb.

I did a search for JK Flesh on junodownload and it came back with only the Posthuman. To discover that they can't (junodumbload) can't get a search right so that everything by an artist is returned when "dumb internet user" (i.e. me, the customer) types in the name of a band is really daft.

And then if you are in he wrong geo-location you can't buy it anyway!

That's weird. It comes up for me if I search for JK Flesh. Did you search for it before it was available?
The reason that I knew it was available on there was because of discogs.com. When I went to add the vinyl to my collection, I noticed the play buttons next to the tracks. That's from their partnership with Juno for selling digital.

elrrek wrote:

I wonder if it's possible to get around that by purchasing from them through discogs.com
edit: I've never purchased through discogs because you end up paying a little more so I'm not sure how that works.

Btw, it's also available on hdtracks.com, amazon, and 7digital, but I think that the latter two are only mp3.
