Oh look,JKB ripping his fans again by calling them "ignorant" and "annoying"...so much for taking the high road...this guy is exhibiting the same petty behavior that he is accusing others of participating in...so over this BS...
All jkb has to do is register a name here and type in all caps and we have the new Mick Harris...but but at least mjh was funny at times in his rantings
it was you tube he read then LOL.
must be hard to not read comments on your own music tho ?
didnt MGira have a rant at us 'net kidz once, lol ?
i asked him on facebook to post here, maybe might settle some of the hate for him here then funny cos really JKB aint no MJH fo sure,he's nice to fans,id get angry if folk be ragging on me for anything and every thing, the man gets shit off folks even in pvt on facebook.lot of fans forgave MJH for real nasty shit on here.odd.take it up wit him on facebook?why not?

JKB is actually a nice bloke, maybe these interview rants come over harsher than intended in text form. The curse of the internet is the difficulty of judging tone correctly.
I contacted him via Twitter and he was fine, I suggested avoiding YT comments in future - as my friends above have said, they do attract some vermin. Think everyone has learned a lesson here |

maybe Justin is getting irritated by the fact a high % of his fans are elitist metalhead dbags who whine about anything and everything and seem to know better than him the music HE should be writing.
That's good, that's fueling his hate for the world. Good when he is writing the new GF. |

What I do have a problem with in this interview is the continuation of the false idea that the people criticising jesu are bone-headed, conservative metallers. While there are probably plenty of them, there are also plenty of people here who love hip-hop, electronica, pop and a million other genres and think jesu is nowhere near achieving full Broadrick potential. Hey, I'm a fan of Kate Bush and Boards of Canada as well. It's just the Teenage Fanclub I have a problem with. |
He needs to either ignore online critiques of his music, positive or negative, or learn to not respond to them. Nothing worse than somebody getting defensive about their own music like that, whether warranted or not. |
I think his rebuttal was actually on point. he says his instruments are not out of tune and he welcomes negative reviews. so he's not beyond criticism. |

this has been probably 15 years back, during the dub wars LOL but I remember a friend getting approached in public in a major city in England by some of Justin's mates, "You're mates with Mick Harris." And he was, definitely a Harris apologist at the time. he was fingered because of his internet postulations.
we all know that Justin watches this forum like a hawk. Wouldn't you? it's a one stop shop for your target demographic on the internet. I commend Justin for not participating directly in this forum. And I would hope that he doesn't have any surrogates here acting on his behalf.
I made the point the other day about how I thought Harris and Justin's personalities were more similar than most would care to admit. They both came up Mike Leigh Meantime stylee, (Harris probably had it harder since he was an orphan)for lack of a better description- both were sensitive, paranoid weed heads (perhaps that has changed), and they both obviously care what we think (granted Justin handles that way better than MJH), there's a dash of narcissism/vanity in there for good measure. I mean how can one be embedded in nihilism so long without being a bit narcissistic. Remember Justin's comments about being sensitive and nihilism being appealing as a youth and not as much as he'd grown older. Not to mention that both of these guys are truly legends, underground superstardom personified.
And by saying all that, I mean no disrespect whatsoever. We all have our idiosyncracies. Justin and Harris included.
I've met Justin once. He was a super nice guy and we had a few laughs about some old morbidly obese dnb producer. And observing the festivities after the show, he seemed just as nice and appreciative to all the other kids as he was to me. By reading the Decibel magazine you could tell that the fan presence and enthusiasm really made an impression on them. |

only just read this one after the prompt in the recent discussion, the account of his "accident" is pretty hilarious, shouldn't laugh really. |
