Ok guys, I'd like to load my mp3 player with albums with the heaviest riffage in history of people.
Shining examples :
Floor: Oblation
Lord Of Tigers: s/t
Whores: both EPs
...etc
So, heavy as fuck please
Thank you |

Thanks brother. Will check Halo.
Crowbar and the other well known bands are definitely included.
I remember NZ Ninja used to come up with some seriously heavy shit.
I'd like to load my player with such heaviness that I won't be able to carry it around. |

Wow,HC...with some of the stuff you listen to I was sure you had heard Halo before...
I'm thinking of who else would be on there...Floor is a good call(shout out,Miami)...I might put Electric Wizard and Sleep in there... |

Oh yeah, I know Halo. I just need to check what to include.
I was fishing for, so to say, less known and newer bands.
If you haven't listened to Lord Of Tigers, check it out on Bandcamp.

Black Sheep Wall - I Am God Songs. I still get amazed at how ridiculously heavy that record is. |

One more thing girlfriends: It doesn't necessarily need to be slow, doom and gloom.
As long as riffing is ultramegaheavy, I'm happy.
Once again, thank you all. I knew I can count on you.
Always. |

Just go listen to the Gods Of Sound album.. Halo has torn down the wall between simply writing music and channeling every feeling of hate into your instrument. That album made me really sad that the Godflesh tour got cancelled. Im pretty sure if I saw that live, I wouldve forgotten about Godflesh. High On Fire wouldnt even have been able to keep up.
Less known and newer?? Nobody has topped Halo. Its like early Swans during a schizophrenic meltdown. |

Difficult to recommend heavy things when the definition of heavy varies so much from person to person! Everything I would have said has probably been covered anyway.
The Halo 'Gods of Sound' thing though. Holy shit why did I not listen to them 5 years ago when I first heard about them. Amazing. |

Told ya so! Everything theyve ever done was gold if you ask me.
Gods Of Sound, Degree Zero Point of Implosion and Body of Light are a must have.
Nice to see ya back, I was actually wondering where you disappeared to the other day haha.. |

Bought Gods of Sound this afternoon for the bargain price of £2!
Hah. Nothing interesting to tell I'm afraid. Just been lost in a hole of academia, installation art, bureaucracy and beer. |

School will do that to ya!! Yeah that 'record' was a steal! I had some trouble with my Paypal when I tried to get it and they wouldnt even let me spend that much money on it! Good old Elrrek out of the goodness of his blackened anti-swans heart bought it for me. Best present Ive ever gotten.. And further proof that every decent musical deviant should own an MXR Blue Box! |

I would love to find some way of getting a hold of some Warhorse of Scissorfight CDs. Scissorfight are fucking great and I completely missed the boat on Warhorse but the stuff I remember hearing them at one point and going FUCK!!!! AWESOME! |
