Got this on Dime recently. You guys probably all have this already but for those who don't...This sounds incredible !

Nijdrop, Landgraf
May 24, 1998

01. Entire Set

TT: 58m

Unknown Source (soundboard?) > Cassette of unknown generation > Sony TC-WE435 cassette deck > Tascam CD-RW950SL recorder > CD (1) > EAC (wav)
> Audacity/Ozone 5 (editing/mastering) > TLH (flac)

The entire set is one track, running 58:31. The original torrent had an additional 2 tracks from a 1992 Peel session with different track times than mine. But after checking it's actually 2 tracks (FM captured) from the 94 Peel session released on Anamnesis. Enjoy !

FLAC - http://www.mediafire.com/download/jth8w4e5zkidu3t/Track01.flac

MP3 - http://www.mediafire.com/download/w426krn82cejvn0/Track01.mp3

I find it surprising to hear tracks off Evanescence performed as late as 1998. The date must be wrong.
When I saw him in December 1995, he had already moved on to other things.

Indeed, this can't be 1998. Also the venue Nijdrop is not in Landgraaf (the Netherlands), but in Opwijk (Belgium).

Great listen nonetheless!

Holy shit Bullen vox + Plotkin strings!!

First I thought this was sampled, but definitely sound different from what they have on the album. I can recognize Plotkin's patterns and OH HOLY SHIT FIND OF THE YEAR!!!!

Btw, anyone knows what happened to the old Mick Harris discography site? I think it was mickharris.net but that's a blog now.

Perhaps it is the same live version of Night Tide from Mind the Gap Volume 3? That would make it recorded in Amersterdam in 94. Will download when I get home.

Don't think it is the Mind the Gap version. Really nice to hear this era of Scorn live!

Received this reply....

"sorry this took a while. all i can say is that is how the cassette was labeled and how i listed it when i got it. i don't have the original cassette anymore. that trader had ins at a number of clubs (democrazy for one) so he could do soundboard recordings. if you figure it out, let me know though!"

If I had to venture a guess, I'd say Nijdrop, Opwijk , Belgium. Since the friend mainly recorded shows there in Belgium. And I'd have to go with what someone previously said as 1994 being the year. The original post contained the two 1994 Peel Session tracks as filler. I sent an email to the Nijdrop club...Maybe someone can give there can give me more details...Worth a shot. I read a post on another board that mentioned Plotkin + Bullen live with Scorn in 1994.

Can anyone here shed some light on this ? Maybe there are other 1994 shows to compare it to ? Could it be 1995 ?

By gum that's good...

Scorpionic > Interlude > Dreamspace is wonderful, and the Evanescence tracks really benefit from a little more human input I feel...

Probably goes without saying, but it's such a shame that this lineup didn't last a bit longer... after all the shit (and some not-so-shit) bands that have reformed in recent years its a shame these guys will probably never grace a stage together again...

Does anybody know if Mick is doing any music at all these days?

Its great to hear this, thanks for sharing it with us Sash. I may be wrong but I think the last track is maybe an alternative version of Almost Human?

I was so engrossed with this last night that I listened to it till the early hours, also due to my O.C.D I had to make a cover so I didnt have a gap on my Itunes. Feel free to use it if you like it (even though the date is fictitious)

Booyah, glad I clicked this thread.

'Silver Rain Fell' from this show was kicking around the internet some 10 years ago. I used to have a poorer quality version.

I agree that the last track is Almost Human. This show is totally mind-blowing. Plotkin's live guitar work adds an entirely whole new level to the songs. The interludes are very COLLAPSE like. Amazing find.

haven't been here for a very long time, and I bump into this thread!

I'm downloading it right now, but it looks like it's the same show I got from Silent Dave who used to run the mickharris.net site.

the date would then be 10th February 1994.

Hey all. Haven't checked in for a minute so I hadn't seen this. I gave up the domain and pulled the site. Thiughbininitisllybstared it on my own, when I became friends with Mick I essentially ran it with info according to his wishes. When he decided to drop out of music, he wanted it all gone so I respected his wishes. I have however, toyed with throwing at least a bare bones site up with all the album info again as I think it's still a worthwhile reference.

Soon. Other things transporting in the background that may influence whether I put it back up or not. Not to mention I'll either have to get a new domain name or I may just add it as a subsection to my or existing silent-watcher.net

I'll post here if it do it.

I saw Scorn on this tour in Paris (sadly, can't remember if it was late 1994 or early 1995). Nic and Plotkin were on stage with some crazy projections, and Mick Harris was in the back of the room, behind the board.
Loudest show I've ever been to. Even with earplugs on, the high frequencies were piercing my ears.

haven't forgotten/given up on this...it's sort of up to Mick again at this point. He sort of regretted asking for it all to come down, but now he's not sure again. Hoepfully he'll see/understand the value to people but I'll leave that to him...

It should be definitely up. There are new kids discovering Scorn and they don't even know it's only the tip of the iceberg.

Yeah last time I looked up Scorn on discogs to check a release date or something, I must have found like 10 new random one-off projects he's worked on I never even knew existed. I knew some of the one off ones like Matera, Monrella, The Weakener, but jeez theres even more out there with the odd 12" release all over the place.

Yeah look up Mick's actual entry on Discogs, and check out all the aliases he's worked under. Granted a lot of it was rather limited but at least now we got something to search for on them interwebs downloading sites. Maybe one day they'll pop up.

I started it before the advent of Discogs. So, not much more to add other than that it's laid out a little cleaner as it related to just Mick (basically straight alphabetical/then chronological). And I tend to put more information related to the pressing (credits and what have you). I'm sure at this point I need to play a little catch up, and it sounds like it the site goes back up at all with Mick's blessing, it may just be a discography and nothing else.

We'll see what he decides and I'll decide from there what I'll do.

'Put the vocal effect back on my voice'

Pretty hilarious how this demand is inserted into the verse of Silver Rain Fell. That very vocal effect renders Light Trap transcendant in a few minutes.

'Sun burns down..'
