And again as every year, it's time for a new KMFDM release. Hurray!
My first impression of the first few tracks was quite good and it sounds already much better than their last record "Hau Ruck".
"Tohuvabohu" is much more beat oriented as the last and it sounds more "danceable" i would say. Especially "looking for strange" and the first track "Superpower". I really enjoy Lucia's beautiful voice in combination with the typically so-called 'ultra-heavy-beats', it has much of positive energy in it.

For me, as a long time friend of KMFDM's music since 1998 and of course a friend of their early records, "Tohuvabohu" is a good step forward and all in all it's a good record.
(I'll order it to pursue my collection...)

Love it or hate it.

any one album for the discog to recommend?

do they still have the same artowrk? they had this great russian-propaganda- poster style art if i remember correctly on some releases.

yeah, still the same cover art by "Brute!" http://www.bruteprop.com/ since their first releases.

I actually prefer the old stuff like "Naive", "Angst" or "Nihil". I guess "Attak" is a good record to start. It's their first album since their reunion. Don't know if you'll like it.

And of course "WWIII", which is actually one of their strongest records. Not bad at all

"Naive" and "Angst" are my faves. "Money" is also good. "WWIII" is the only album after "Xtort" that I really enjoy. Saw them years ago and they were great live. Saw them recently and it was less than good.

KMFDM have been shit since they split changed their name to MDFMK and then back to KMFDM.

Lucia is a fucking awful vocalist and they've completely run out of ideas. I think their peak of good music was around Naive and Money. I'm probably one of the few people I know who likes the UAIOE album and in all its Tackhead rip off glory.

UAIOE is a great album. MDFMK is horrible. I don't think lucia is all THAT bad but she's not great.

It's not quite a rip-off when Adrian Sherwood himself helps with the album. More of a tribute, I guess??

Yeah its more of an massively influenced by Tackhead. Murder on the album is basically What my Mission Now? with the samples replaced by a rap.
